03/04/08 Leviathans training returns to Tuesdays

As the clocks have gone forward and we can enjoy lighter evenings, The junior crew will resume training on a Tuesday night at 6pm.

 

15/02/08 Another weekend off!

We are racing at Henley this Sunday - so you get a lie in again! Training will re-commence 24/02/08.

 

02/12/07 A Weekend Off!

Don't forget, this Sunday 9th December 2007, there will be no training! Enjoy your lie in!

We are selling raffle tickets on Friday 23rd November at Centre:MK from 1pm to 5pm - volunteers needed!

20/09/07 Winter Training

We have had a great season, so we want to try and keep our crew together over winter. It's not going to be good paddling in the dark, so training over winter will move to Sundays at 11am (after Secklow Training). This will start from Sunday 14th October. The last Tuesday evening session will be Tuesday 4th October at 6pm

 

18/08/07 Next event will hopefully be sailing

Kat is talking with Whitecap to see if we can get a day sailing on the lake. The aim of this is to increase the awareness of other watersports and to have fun of course!

 

18/08/07 We have nearly all our kit as funded by the Local Network Fund

We have our new boat, half of our buoyancy aids, all of our paddles and all of our t-shirts. The recruitment boards are being made now, so we can start using the boards at schools to recruit more kids for our crew.

 

02/07/07 Yin is on her way!

John and Kat are going up to Harwich on Wednesday to pick up Yin! The paddles and T-shirts are done, so next Tuesday, we will have a new boat, new t-shirts, new BA's and new paddles to paddle her with!

29/05/07 Seven kids pass their "Timing" badge assessment

Congratulations to James, Kyra, Ariadna, Beth, Harry, Dylan and Yasmin-Hannah for doing an excellent job of focussing on timing during light and powered paddling and gaining their first badges!

 

29/05/07 Paddles ordered

Kat placed the order for the carbon paddles, which are lighter and more durable than the wooden ones, much easier and suitable for kids!

 

22/05/07 Baby Boat ordered

"Yin" is given life! Kat placed an order for a brand new baby dragon boat (10 person) for the Leviathans to use as their very own boat. In 5 weeks time, we will have our own boat!

 

Leviathans awarded Local Network Funding!

24th April 2007 - We found out that we had been accepted for funding for one baby dragon boat, 10 paddles, 10 youth sized buoyancy aids and 10 t-shirts!
