Race report

Well! That was hard race!

The result was as we should expect – beating Kingston Pretenders’ and the 10 man Worcester crews. However, if we want to be battling with the others we need more effort from each and every one of us.

We finished 7^th out of 9 teams in a time of 39.23 and, as a matter of fact, we were only 40 seconds slower than our last outing in November when we felt so good about our achievements. At present we are 6^th out of the 14 teams in the winter series, so we have a lot to be proud of.

I know that it’s not been easy for us to attend training throughout the winter and I’m sorry to say…it shows.

The power in the boat was never as strong as it ought to be, which means that we all need more training.

But, eh? lets not get hung up about it…. we need to look forward and face the next race with renewed enthusiasm and let each of us do that bit extra to make a difference…
